In Lithuanian media, the alternative name for Georgia, Sakartvelo, is gradually becoming established, according to data provided to the news agency BNS by the media analysis and research company Mediaskopas.
From June 2018 to July 2019, the name Sakartvelo accounted for 26% of all mentions of the country, and from July 2019 to this July — nearly 44 percent.
