The incident recorded in the middle of the week, when a drone possibly flew into Lithuania and an air alert was declared for the first time since the restoration of independence, attracted the attention of the world media. While headlines in Russia and Belarus focused on alleged “hysteria,” “chaos,” and “NATO’s helplessness,” the Western press reflected concern over the growing threat in the region and blamed the Kremlin.
As shown by the analysis carried out by the media research company Mediaskopas, the event of May 20 crossed Lithuania’s borders within a few hours and drew the attention of the global information space.
