How is the attitude toward Russian speakers living in Lithuania changing?

The results of the 2022 study on Lithuanian residents’ attitudes toward ethnic and religious groups, conducted by “Diversity Development Group,” the Ethnic Research Department of the Institute of Sociology at the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences, and “Media4change,” together with media monitoring, showed social cohesion and openness in accepting war refugees from Ukraine, but also revealed worrying trends related to attitudes toward some of Lithuania’s ethnic minorities.

We talk with the Director of the Department of National Minorities, Dr. Vida Montvydaitė, and Aidas Petrošius, a representative of the media monitoring company “Mediaskopas.”
